The Start of Our Dream

Matt and I finally signed up with a builder on the weekend after what seems like months and months of planning. We've been dreaming of doing this now since May last year after a visit to a display village in Victoria. Over the last ten months our plans have gone back and forth with different kit home companies and builders until, finally, on Saturday, we signed up to build a modified version of Coral Homes' Hamilton. We've haven't changed the layout really, other than to change the orientation of the lounge/dining room, but we have changed the sizes of the rooms to allow extra space in case our family ever grows. The picture shows how we plan to lay out our lot. Coral have indicated that it will take about four months before they're even on our block and then another four to five after that to build it so we're pretty sure we won't be in before February next year. That should give us ample time to save for the things we want to fill our house up with!
